Travel Tips Riding Pyramids

Before you set out into the desert, check out these must-know preparation tips to make sure your egypt horse riding experience is safe, comfortable and memorable:

What to Bring

• Trousers or Long Pants: Long, flexible trousers or jeans will protect your legs against saddle rub. Do not wear shorts or skirts.
• Closed-toe Shoes: Sneakers, riding boots or some type of sturdy closed shoes are a must for foot comfort and stirrup grip.
• Sun Protection: Pack sunglasses, broad spectrum sunscreen and a light-weight hat or scarf to shade your head.

Money & Bazaar Tips

• Local Currency (EGP) & USD: Most large bazaar shops will take credit cards for silver and gold purchases, but it's handy to have some small notes (USD, EUR or EGP) for small souvenirs, drinks or tipping your horse handler.
• Bargaining Etiquette: Negotiations are part of the culture of the Egyptian market. Have fun shopping for decorative statues and silver jewelry, and enjoy the friendly banter!
